Social Skills Groups

Child Psychology

Does your child have difficulty initiating and sustaining play with other children or responding appropriately when approached by peers?

Is it hard for him or her to take turns, follow along with activities, demonstrate perspective taking skills, and/or understand social rules?

IT4K’s Social Skills Groups are designed to help children learn these social skills and to develop strategies to improve social interactions with peers.  In the Social Skills Group your child will experience social interactions with peers where he or she will practice age-appropriate skills for navigating everyday social situations.

The Social Skills Groups at IT4K will provide your child with a safe, supportive environment specially designed with activities and materials for building social skills. Increasing your child’s social confidence and supporting his or her strengths are emphasized.

The Social Skills Groups topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Initiating and Sustaining Play
  • Initiating and Sustaining Conversation
